Should You Buy or Rent?
Generally anybody prior to investing in a property would think, whether they should buy or rent it. I am no master in giving you verdicts about the best choice, as it is you who make the eventual decision. However, I can list you the advantages and disadvantages of both the cases and hope to help you in your decision.
I just bought a house and now I find I do not like the place.
Think this can happen to you or your children. It may happen that your new place, which you liked initially and invested a huge chunk of savings is not the place where you wanted to be in. Your children might also find the place unsuitable. Problems such as these will never seek invitation. So, it is better to get into a rented place and save huge losses.
I stay in one of the best places in town. I would love to stay on rent forever, but the owners want to sell it off.
This is one thing that you have to stay with. You have to understand that you are not the owner and have to oblige with your owner whatever they say. Agreeing is the best and the only option for you. You may not like their behavior, but you have to stick with it or look for another place.

You might have thought that I am confused as I have supported both points and also opposed them. Yes, I have done so but according to me, it is better to rent a place before you buy.
What is this rent before buy?
This is an option that allows you to get a house rented before you finally make a decision on your future with the place. Generally, many owners provide this option of giving away a house on rent with buying. If you like the house and so does your family after staying on rent in that place for a period of time, go ahead and buy it. This allows you to stay well informed about everything regarding your house prior to purchasing it.
If you ask me, it is better to have your dream house while staying in a rented place before owning it.
